Eligibility Requirements

The goal is to help Academically, Financially and Socially disadvantaged youth of Austin attain Employable skills

  1. Current High School Senior Student
  2. Courses in Career And Technical Education (CTE)
  3. Nomination by the Applicant’s Guidance Counselor
  4. Demonstrated financial need (defined by the State of Texas Poverty Guidelines)
  5. GPA should be between 2.0 and 3.0
  6. Good school attendance record
  7. Legal United States Of America Citizen

Scholarship will be provided for the following Vocational courses at Austin Community College

  1. Plumbing
  2. Electrician
  3. HVAC Technician
  4. Welding
  5. Certified Nurse Aide
  6. Dental Assistant
  7. Phlebotomy Technician
  8. Medical Office Support

Required documents for scholarship application submission

  1. Completed IDEAYA Scholarship Application.
  2. Two Letters of Recommendation – One from Applicant’s School Teacher and Second from Applicant’s Counselor
  3. Proof of Free Lunch /Effective Family Contribution [EFC] needs to be submitted.
  4. Copy of current transcript. This can be a student’s copy or sent by the registrar directly.
  5. Attendance Record
  6. No Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) on school record
